Morgan + Kris | Austin Wedding

Wedding traditions certainly vary between cultures and religions, but having been a part of many weddings over the years, we’ve seen the personal touches and traditions that are unique to families and groups of friends.  We hear more and more that the most important wedding-related thing to couples is that their guests really enjoy themselves, which (aside from being a refreshing side-step from the less important things that often take precedence) often highlights the personal traditions, pastimes, and interests of those we get the pleasure of meeting!  Morgan and Kris, however, took this to a new level, and planned their wedding party at Mercury Hall (the actual ceremony was held a week earlier in their home of Seattle) around the Austin City Limits music festival and their anniversary.  With many of their out-of-town guests attending the music festival (never have I photographed a welcome bag, complete with festival wristband!), this wedding was the one-of-a-kind dinner party to kick off the fun!  Full of color and texas flare,  this gorgeous event was brought to us by seattle-based event stylist and curator Dandy & Fine Parties , with coordinating by Cara at Your Wedding Your Way.  Thank you Morgan and Kris for your amazing fun-loving attitude, and for this refreshing take on tradition!
